Pay In Reps shields the apps that eat your day. Your camera counts the reps. Finish the set, they open.

Pay In Reps on an iPhone: a progress ring reading four apps locked, one of three exercises done, above a Continue routine button. Locked app tiles float around the device.
  • Squats20 reps
  • Push-ups15 reps
  • Sit-ups20 reps
  • Plank30 sec
  • Lunges16 reps
  • Jumping jacks30 reps
  • Wall sit45 sec
  • Burpees10 reps

One rule, all day.

Pick the apps once. After that the day only moves in one direction.

Every rep goes through the camera.

Vision reads your pose on the phone itself and counts the set as you go. There is no manual tally to round up.

Pay In Reps counting squats through the camera: a pose skeleton overlaid on a person mid-squat, with a counter reading 12 of 20.

Finish the set and everything opens.

The shield lifts the moment the last rep lands. Your apps are yours for the rest of the day, with nothing else to tap.

The Pay In Reps unlocked screen: a confetti burst around an open padlock, reading routine done, your apps are open until midnight.

At midnight it locks itself again.

A DeviceActivity schedule puts the shield back overnight, so tomorrow starts exactly where today did.

Built on the parts of iOS that actually hold.

Held at the system level

Pay In Reps shields apps through Apple’s Screen Time API. The block sits on the app itself, not on a countdown you can wave away.

Counted on your iPhone

Pose detection runs through Vision on the device. The camera feed is not recorded and never leaves the phone.

Your routine, your numbers

Eight exercises, counted in reps or held for seconds. Switch on the ones you will actually do and set the targets yourself.

The block screen shows what it costs

Open something shielded and Pay In Reps tells you exactly how much of today’s routine is still standing between you and it. No guessing, no reopening the app to check.

Single apps or whole categories

Pick apps one by one, or shield an entire category at once and stop negotiating with yourself about which one counts.

Three minutes to set up.

Then you never touch the settings again.

The honest answers.

Can I just turn it off?
Yes. Pay In Reps is a commitment device, not a cage, and revoking its Screen Time access in Settings will lift the shield. The friction is the product, and on most days the friction is enough.
Does it record me?
No. Pose detection runs through Vision on the phone. The camera feed is read live to count reps, and it is not saved or uploaded anywhere.
What if it misses a rep?
Detection is deliberately lenient about framing, so ordinary rooms and angles still register. There is no manual tally to fall back on, which is what keeps the count meaningful.
Which exercises can it count?
Squats, push-ups, sit-ups, lunges, jumping jacks and burpees are counted as reps. Plank and wall sit are held against a timer instead.
Does it work on iPad?
iPhone only, in portrait. The camera framing and the block screen are both built around that.
What happens at midnight?
The shield goes back on by itself, whether or not you opened the app that evening. The next day starts locked.

Tomorrow starts locked.

Twenty squats stand between you and the feed. That is the deal.
